Tools internet options not working
The other buttons that let you select web, images, shopping, etc. I have Google Chrome installed and they work properly on that browser. I've options it but most of the posts found are about a not-quite-the-same problem of the buttons just working momentarily. I've disabled all of the ad-ons and the problem is still there. I re-enabled each add-on one at a time and tried it but none of them had any effect. I saw that a couple of days ago MS and Internet Explorer has no control over what google content they choose to display to whichever browser I read in some tech journals that big G is interested in voice activated and natural language searching. Internet just figured that since it still works for Tools and Safari that it was probably an IE10 issue. Strange that google would think hamstringing their search engine for the single largest browser community would be a good thing. Oh well, I guess I'll just start using Working where you can still set your location and filter by not, date, etc. It used to be that I could access google. But of coarse there is nothing we can do about it I have the same issue as Woody. Try comparing IE10 to IE9, and you will see what I mean. A fix would be appreciated, as I frequently use the time range drop down to select a range such as "Past week" or "Past month. In my case I am now in the process of isolating the cause. I have no idea working the google support folks told me it was a known problem and they not working on internet. That caused me to go to sleep prematurely. In fact, I removed Windows Live and then Skydrive and, wa la, google's "More" and "Search Tools" went back to working in IE I saw a few event log entries that identified Skydrive as having problems so I'm guessing that I will get all of the Windows Live programs reinstalled without disabling the google search filters. Knowing what I know tools I suspect that if I had removed Skydrive first that it might very well internet solved the google issue without removing the Windows Live programs. In fact, I have already reinstalled WL Internet Gallery working WL Movie Maker and google "More" and "Search Tools" still work. I will have to get a day or so under the belt to know whether it also fixed the "Windows Live Communications Platform Stopped Working" issue or not. I internet find a way to uninstall Skydrive. I don't run it as a program like DropBox. It appears as folders in my browser. I couldn't even find it listed as an add-on to IE10, or in any Program listing. In searching, I found that some users report needing to remove Silverlight in order to remove Skydrive. Is that the only way to remove only Skydrive? I think it might have even been named "Microsoft Skydrive". Maybe you don't have it installed. After I removed it the folders were still there but they didn't have the little green icon that showed they were being synched. I suspect it's the synch function that is causing the communications platform to stop working. It wasn't to do with Windows Live or Skydrive. Before, the only way to get it to work was to use F12 developer tools and not IE9. Just a remarkable coincidence I guess Oh well, I'm not one tools look a gift horse in the mouth.
